In 1950, our Grandpa Johnson opened our first shop in Bexley, Ohio, with a simple idea: make real ice cream the right way, and share it with your neighbors. Three generations later, we’re still at it. Our cakes are hand-decorated, our ice cream sandwiches are built one by one, and every scoop is made by real people, whether it ends up in a cone, a pint, or a sundae. (There’s no wrong way to eat ice cream.)

Each flavor we make is a testament to the things Grandpa loved and a reflection of his personal quirks. He was a good man with a contagious laugh who believed hard work should still be fun, and that’s still how we run our shops today. So after the game, on a warm summer night, or anytime in between, thanks for keeping his legacy alive, one scoop at a time.
